TravelWith: From Concept to a Comprehensive Travel Solution

When Mike, the solo founder of TravelWith approached us, he had a big vision: to create an app that would simplify travel planning, making it easier for solo travelers and groups to organize trips in one place.

With just 30 screens and a rough outline, we partnered to turn this initial idea into a full-blown mobile and web app, complete with a redesigned website, branding, and marketing collateral. Over 200 screens later, TravelWith was ready to launch with a bold new identity.

The Challenge

Streamlining travel planning with limited resources:

With a solo founder acting as both software engineer and product lead, TravelWith needed a partner who could help not only design but also ideate features, workflows, and branding. The founder needed to balance coding the platform while we designed the user experience, website, and marketing materials.

Mobile App

Ideation and expansion: From 30 screens to a complete app

We began by working closely with the founder to flesh out the initial idea. What started as a 30-screen concept grew into a robust product with over 200 screens across mobile and web apps.

Itinerary management

Users can keep all their travel details—hotel bookings, number of participants, private notes, transportation and planned activities, and more—in one place.

Group collaboration

The app allows travelers to share trips, plans, create shareable links, and communicate seamlessly, ensuring everyone is on the same page.

We began by creating a brand identity that reflected TravelWith’s core promise: making travel more enjoyable and stress-free. This new visual identity, including the compass logo and a cohesive design system, set the tone for every part of the app and website.

After completing the app design, we crafted a website redesign to reflect TravelWith’s new brand identity and serve as an entry point for beta testers. Designed for solo travelers and group users, the website provided a clear, concise value proposition and a strong call to action, making it easy for users to transition from discovery to download.
